Residents of Hawaii thrown off ballance after emergency message alerted them of an impending missile attack

An emergency alert message that turned out to be a false alarm today rattled residents of Hawaii, USA with many of them jumping off bed with fear! The message purportedly warned of an impending missile attack on the city. It however turned out to be false as authorities have said "There is no missile threat or danger to the State of Hawaii" and attributed to someone pushing a wrong button.

According to ABC news, "the emergency alert was blasted over the hotel's public address system and sent to people's mobile phones across Hawaii just after 8 a.m. local time. The message that appeared on phones read in all caps, "Ballistic missile threat inbound to Hawaii. Seek immediate shelter. This is not a drill."
