Lagos recods first surspected case of Monkey pox

The Lagos state Government has said it is investigating two suspected cases of monkey pox disease in the state. If confirmed, it would be the first case of the disease which broke out in Bayelsa, in Lagos.
According to the commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris:
“Though no confirmed case has been recorded, there is need to sensitise members of the public and provide adequate information on measures for prevention and control of the disease in line with the policy of the State government,”
