In Cambodia: Lightining kill 72

Lightening has killed 72 people in Cambodia for the past 9 months, officials say. According to Nhim Vanda, first Vice President of the country’s National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM), the incidence of lightening in the country was higher in 2016.

He spoke during the celebration of Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Day for Disaster Management in Phnom Pen.
  “Although the fatal numbers from lightning has reduced, lightning remains the leading cause of death among deaths from natural disasters.”
Lightening is happens in the country during raining season. The official adivised people to remain indoors whenever it rains.
