Health Minister, other Nigerians Pay Tribute to Dr Adedavoh

Nigerians yesterday took to social media to pay tribute to the medical doctor Ameyo Adedavoh who paid the supreme sacrifice to save the country from the dreaded Ebola virus in 2014. It was Adedavoh who treated the Liberian national who brought the disease into Lagos in 2014. She was said to have stood firmly against the patient leaving the hospital thereby drastically curtailing the spread of the virus. She however contracted the virus and died thereafter. Nigerians has continued to remember her as a hero since then. Yesterday, Health Minister Isaac Adewole wrote about her on his twitter handle:

"You are a braveheart who took one for your country. Ameyo, we really don't deserve you. Forever we remain indebted & commit to keep building"
