“They gave me Biafra in Prison with only the five Igbo states; I said no, I want Benue and Rivers” Says Nnamdi Kanu

Leader of the secessionist group, Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has disclosed that the Government of Nigeria offered him a Biafra with five Igbo States while in prison. He however said he declined the offer saying he wanted Benue and Rivers state to be included. He also claimed he was offered oil block and a mansion in Dubai but rejected them all.

“They gave me Biafra in Prison with only the five Igbo states; I said no, I want Benue and Rivers. Biafra is coming, there is nothing to stop it”. He spoke when Igbo Civil Society Coalition led by Prof. Obasi Igwe visited him in Umuahia.
The secessionist leader has been vehement in his pursuit of a separate Biafran  state from Nigeria citing cases of marginalization of the Igbo Nation as his reason.
