Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to earn £130,000 per year in new appointment

Nigeria's former Finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will be earning £130,000 per year in her new job at Standard Chartered Plc in the United Kingdom. She is appointed as a director in the global bank which has presence in 70 countries.

Commenting on the appointment, José Viñals, Chairman of the bank in the statement said “Ngozi is a globally recognised African figure. She has significant geopolitical, economic, risk and development experience and expertise at a national governmental level and in international organisations, which will provide significant insight and value to the Board. She also has deep knowledge of Africa as well as emerging and developing markets. I am delighted to welcome her to Standard Chartered”
The appointment takes effect from Novermber 1st 2017.
