A prospective corps member, Mercy Ujah Gbakaan has
taken to Facebook to express her grief over the passage of her mother during
the period she waited to be called up for the mandatory one year national
service.
The lady who falls into 2017 NYSC batch A stream II
stated that she won’t be able to attend her mums funeral given that she would
be on camp at the time. She also expressed grief that her mum wont was no
longer going to see her eventual success. The NYSC recently released the
timetable for 2017 NYSC Batch A Orientation Course. The time table indicates
that the programme will begin across the country on 26th July 2017.

“Am suppose to be happy abt this news on the date of
our camping, but my mother who was anxious to see me in my service uniform just
pass away days to my camping, I have lost my Joy and the excitement, oh death y
didn't u give my mother a little more time to see me in my service uniform as
she ever dreamt, and I can't even attend my mother's burial because I Will be
in camp on the day of her burial ,o fate y are u playing such a game on me”
