Olu Onagoruwa who was Nigeria’s Attorney General and
Minister of Justice during Abacha military regime has passed on. The human
rights activist died on Friday.
Premium Times reports that the lawyer had been hit
by stroke following the brutal killing of his son Toyin Onagoruwa in 1996. The
report adds the death of his wife few years later compounded his health
problem.
Onagoruwa attended the University of London for his
LL.B LL.M and PhD and returned to Nigeria to attend law school.
He hailed from Odogbolu, Ogun state.
